Detailed Solution

Kathak, Kathakali and Kuchipudi are the forms of classical dance.  Most classical traditional dances were first performed in temples. Worship was the main objective. Even though each dance style managed to develop from a distinct geographical area, its roots are the same. The Sanskrit book "Natya Shastra'' is where they first appeared. The first collection of Natya Shastra was produced between 200 BCE and 200 CE. Over time, many classical dances underwent innovation by artists, giving rise to current forms. The popularity of Indian classical dances has grown significantly worldwide. Bharatanatyam is the refined offspring of the Dasi and Sadir folk dances, which were codified in law and evolved over time in the royal durbars and temples of southern India. In the grounds of Hindu temples in northern India, a dance-based storytelling genre called Kathak first emerged.
