1)      Rice is a Kharif crop, while Pulses, Wheat and Oilseeds are rabi crops.
2)      Kharif crops are planted before the start of the monsoon in June-July. They are harvested in October and November. The crops in the Kharif season include rice, maize, millet, cotton, and groundnut. These crops depend completely on the monsoon rains. Disturbance in it affects the yield of these crops.
3)      The rabi crops are sown at the beginning of winter in the month of October-November and harvested in March-April. They include wheat, barley, gram, and oilseeds.
