Sulphur is a non-metal.
Sulphur shows all the non-metallic properties like non-ductility, poor conductivity of electricity and heat, non-lustrous etc. Sulphur is a brittle solid and also forms acidic oxide with oxygen.

According to the periodic trend, the non-metallic character increases from left to right due to a decrease in atomic size and an increase in nuclear charge. So, since Sulphur is in group 16 on the right side of the periodic table, it has a non-metallic character.
