Based on the usage of goods, they are divided into two parts: Final goods and intermediate goods.
1)      Intermediate goods are the ones which are used for the production of some other goods. Like, flour is used to make bread and other bakery items. Such goods are not included in the national income.
2)      Final goods are the ones which are either consumed or are further used for capital formation. For example, television, bakery items and any laptop used by a person. The value of these goods is added to the national income.
