Detailed Solution

The alimentary canal is a long tube that includes all the organs associated with the digestion process. It has the mouth as its beginning and the anus as its end. The food pipe (oesophagus), stomach, and intestines are parts of the alimentary canal. The food entering the mouth travels to the throat (pharynx) and enters the food pipe. The stomach is the next spot where the digestion process gets completed. The digested food moves to the small intestine, where the nutrients are absorbed into the bloodstream. The large intestine absorbs water from the digested food and ejects the solid waste through the anus, an opening at the end of its rectal part.
