Detailed Solution

The advantages of nuclear energy are the following
The energy produced by unit mass is huge
       Does not produce air pollution
       Less nuclear fuel is required
There are two types of nuclear energy: Nuclear fission and Nuclear fusion.
Nuclear Fission: A large nucleus breaks into two smaller nuclei to release a large amount of energy.
Nuclear Fusion: Two smaller nuclei join together to form their own nucleus to release a large amount of energy.
The advantages of nuclear fuels are –
A large amount of energy is produced by unit mass.
It does not produce pollution, so it's a clean fuel, provided the plant is operated properly with most care.
Only a small quantity of nuclear fuel is required to run a nuclear plant over a long period of time as compared to thermal power plants.
They don't give harmful gases which cause the GreenHouse effect or Acid rain.
