The formation of sperm (spermatogenesis) occurs in the seminiferous tubules. The male sex accessory ducts include rete testis, vasa efferentia, epididymis and vas deferens. They serve for the storage and transport the sperms from the testis to the outside through urethra. The epididymis is the site of sperm maturation, the process by which sperm acquire motility and the ability to fertilise an ovum.
