Detailed Solution

The right to vote is not a fundamental right.
Our Constitution and law provide a broader range of rights, but Fundamental Rights are the source of all rights. The extent of rights has grown over time. The courts issued rulings to broaden the extent of rights from time to time. The Constitution provides many more rights, which may or may not be considered Fundamental Rights. For example, the right to vote in elections is a legal right. The Constitution and the Representation of the People Act of 1951 guaranteed the right to vote in India, subject to certain limitations. Every citizen above 18 has the right to vote under Article 326 of the Constitution.
