Detailed Solution

Cells in the human body exhibit different types of movements depending on their structure and function. The most common types of movements observed are amoeboid, ciliary, and muscular movements.

Amoeboid movement is seen in cells such as leukocytes and macrophages, which use cytoplasmic extensions called pseudopodia to move.

Ciliary movement is seen in the epithelial cells lining the respiratory tract, which have cilia on their surface. These cilia move in a coordinated manner to transport mucus and particles out of the respiratory tract.

Muscular movement is seen in muscle cells that can contract and relax, generating force and movement.

However, flagellar locomotion, which is the movement of cells using a whip-like tail called a flagellum, is rare in human cells. While some cells in the human body, such as sperm cells, do have flagella, this type of movement is not common in most human cells.
