Detailed Solution

Blood pressure is the hydrostatic pressure exerted by the blood on the walls of a blood vessel. It occurs due to the contraction of the ventricles.

In a normal person, BP doesn't remain the same throughout the body. It is weaker in veins as veins transport blood against gravity. It is highest in the aortic arch during the ventricular systole i.e. when the muscles of the left and right ventricles contract pushing blood into the aorta and pulmonary artery respectively.
