Detailed Solution

Union list, state list and concurrent list are a part of the Indian federal system.
Holding Together Federation is an abbreviated version of Holding Together India. It has a three-tier system of power distribution. Power is divided between the centre, the state, and the local governments of the country. India has three lists. Union list, whose laws are framed by the government at the centre. The state list, whose laws are framed by the state government, and last comes the concurrent list, whose laws can be formed by both states and the centre. The Union List consists of subjects like defence and foreign affairs; the state list has subjects of state importance.
