Detailed Solution

The approximate value of the Solar constant is 1.4 kW/m2.
“Solar energy reaching per unit area per unit time at the outer edge of the earth's atmosphere exposed perpendicularly to the sun's rays at an average distance between the sun and the earth is called the solar constant.” In other words, the energy received from the sun is often distributed all over the surface of the earth, and a mean incident flux density can be established. It's determined as a solar constant.
It can be measured from satellites where atmospheric effects are absent. The approximate value is 1.366 kilowatts per square meter. The rate is merely relatively constant. However, the relative constant does vary by 0.2 % during a cycle that peaks once every eleven years. The primary attempt at estimating the solar constant was made by Claude Pouillet in 1838, and its value was 1.228 kW/m2.
