Detailed Solution

The causes of hypermetropia are the focal length of the eye lens becoming too long or the eyeball becoming too small.
Hypermetropia is far-sightedness, which means a person cannot see nearby objects clearly but can see distant objects clearly. In this condition, the image is formed behind the retina. Because the light rays are focused behind the retina instead of on the retina, it is caused because the eyeball becoming too small and due to the excessive focal length of the eye lens. It can be treated using spectacles made from convex lenses of suitable focal length.
