Detailed Solution

Concept: First we need to write the definition and properties of Resistance and resistivity , explain  its units, on which factors it depends accurately. Then write the relation between resistivity and resistance . Then write the dependence of resistance on temperature.
Resistance is the property of the conductor which allows the free flow of electric current . Resistance can also be said as the ratio of the voltage applied to electric current flowing in it. The resistance of a conductor actually depends on a number of factors : length, nature of the material, etc.
Resistivity is a property of a conductor which is known as the resistance offered by a material per unit length for a unit cross-section. The SI unit of the resistivity is Ohm meter . Resistivity increases with the increase in temperature. When we compare the resistivity of the insulators with the resistivity of the conductor it is actually low. Therefore, we can write it as
Resistivity of insulators > Resistivity of alloys > Resistivity of conductors
Relationship between Resistivity and Resistance is:
R=ρlA
Here,
ρ is the resistivity,
l is the length of the conductor and
A is the cross sectional area
Thus, from the above relationship  we can conclude  that the resistance of a material increases or decreases with the increase and decrease of temperature.
Resistance is the feature of the conductor which opposes the flow of electric current. Resistivity is a feature of conductors which offer material per unit length for a unit cross section. Resistance material increases or decreases with the same effects of temperature.
Hence, the correct option is 4.
