Concept: Stomata regulates the process of transpiration. Transpiration is the loss of water through the process of evaporation in shops.
When stomata are open, the transpiration rate increases, and when they're closed, there's a drop in the transpiration rate. Stomata are positioned on the epidermis of the leaf through which it allows gas interchange between plants and the surrounding environment and facilitates transpiration, through which it checks the water movement via the pair of guard cells.
