Voltameter is the instrument which is used to determine the electrolysis process of water.
Hoffman invented this instrument, which is also known as Hoffman’s voltameter. The apparatus has space for slightly acidic water between its two chambers; one of its chambers acts as an anodic limb, and the other acts as a cathodic limb. In addition, each chamber has a platinum foil that acts as an anode and cathode.
