The mass of the object whose weight is 98 N is 10 kg.
The mass of a body is the quantity of matter it contains. It's a scalar quantity. The weight of a body is the force with which the earth attracts it. It's the force of gravity on it. Weight is a vector quantity.
Weight of the body is represented by W=mg    ............(i)
m is the mass of the body
g is acceleration due to gravity
It is given that the weight of the body is 98 N and we know that the value of  acceleration due to gravity g=9.8 ms-2
We can substitute these values in equation (i), We get   98 N =(m) kg ×(9.8) ms-2
⇒ 98=m×9.8
⇒989.8=m
⇒  m=10 ⇒  m=10 kg Thus, the mass of the object whose weight is 98 N is 10 kg.
