Medical wipes contain ethanol as an antibacterial.

Ethanol is used as radiator antifreeze for automobiles, incorporated in several hand sanitisers to efficiently kill germs including bacteria, fungus, etc, and as an antiseptic for hospital wound sterilization.

It is also used to increase the flavour of food extracts, such as vanilla extract, which is produced by processing vanilla beans in a mix of ethanol and water and as a solvent for pharmaceuticals, oils, fats, fragrances, dyes, etc.
