Sambhar lake is one of the saltwater lakes. It is India's largest inland salt lake and is located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It primarily affects the Rajasthan districts of Jaipur and Nagaur, as well as some areas of Ajmer. It covers an area of 5,700 square kilometres. Sambhar Lake is a seasonal lake with a water depth fluctuating between 60 cm. The lake receives water from five river systems: Mantha, Samaod, Medtha, Rupangarh, Khari, and Khandela. Salt sheets that resemble snow often cover the lake's bed.
