The Concurrent list includes marriage, education, forest, trade unions, adoption, succession, and so on. Both the Central Government and the state government can make laws on the subjects mentioned in the concurrent list. But in case of any conflict between the laws made by the Centre and the State government on a certain subject of the concurrent list, the law made by the Central government will prevail. In this case, marriage is of common interest nationally and within a state.
