A magnifying glass is a transparent material.
The materials through which objects can be seen clearly as it allows light to pass through it completely are called transparent. Mirror and stainless steel plates are opaque objects through which nothing can be seen as it does not allow light to pass through them. Muslin cloth is a translucent object through which we can see but not very clear as it partially allows the light to pass through it.
