Detailed Solution

Threshing is the method used to separate grains from stalks.
The grains are separated from stalks by a process called threshing. With the help of machines and bullocks, the stalks are beaten to free the grain. The stalks are dried in the sun, and then the bundles of stalks are made, which are further beaten on the ground to separate the grains from the stalks. In handpicking, the material which is not useful is picked by hand and separated like stones from rice. Winnowing is used to separate husk particles from heavier grains with the help of wind. Sieving is a method which is used to separate impurities from flour using a sieve.
