Detailed Solution

CaC2:- We know that the bond which is formed by exchanging electrons between a metal and non-metal atom is called an ionic bond. Calcium is an alkali earth metal and carbon is a non-metal. So, calcium carbide ( CaC2 ) should be an ionic bond.

CaC2 has a combination of bonds. It is an ionic lattice that has Ca(2+) cations and acetylide C2(2-) anions. Within each C2(2-), there is a triple bond between the 2 C atoms, consisting of 1 sigma and 2 pi bonds.

NH4NO3 is a nitrate salt of the ammonium cation. Since ammonium is a cation and bonds with the anion nitrate, hence the compound is bonded by an ionic bond.

It has an ionic bond as it exists NH₄⁺ion and NO₃⁻ion. there is a covalent bond between nitrogen and oxygen exists. It has both sigma and pi bonds.
