Detailed Solution

The Qutub Minar was built in memory of Khwaja Bakhtiyar Kaki. Qutbuddin Aibak is credited to have laid down the foundation of the Qutub Minar in the Qutub Complex situated in Delhi. It was given the name Khwaja Qutub-ud-din Bakhtiyar Kaki and built in honour of the Sufi saint. Iltutmish, Aibak's son-in-law and successor, added three more stories to the Qutub Minar, and Firoz Shah Tughlak built the final and fifth storey in 1368. The tower is 240 feet tall or 73 meters high. The tower is embellished with bands of inscriptions and four balconies that extend outward and are held up by elaborately painted frames.
