Detailed Solution

Kesari was started by B. G. Tilak. Kesari is a Marathi newspaper founded by Lokamanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a prominent leader of the Indian independence movement, on 4 January 1881. The newspaper was used as a spokesman for the Indian National Freedom Movement and continues to be published by the descendants of the Saffron Maratha Trust and Tilak. In addition to the Kesari offices, the Wada or the courtyard still houses the Tilak Museum and the Saffron-Maratha Library, Tilak's writing desk, several original documents, and memoirs of Tilak, including the first flag of India flown by Madame Kama at Stuttgart in 1907.
