Detailed Solution

Order Rate of hydrolysis:   SF4>SF6

As, the S-atom in the  SF6 molecule is still surrounded by six F-atoms. As a result of this steric barrier, H2O  is unable to attack the S-atom. Because the F atom lacks a d-orbital to take an unshared electron pair from  H2O ,  the S atom in  SF6 is coordinatively saturated. As a result, hydrolysis does not occur in SF6. In contrast, just four F-atoms surround the S-atom in SF4, which means that the assault by water is not sterically inhibited. S-atom is not coordinately saturated in SF4 . So SF4 readily passes through hydrolysis.

Hence, the option D is correct.
