Detailed Solution

Narmada and Tapti rivers flow west and make estuaries. The only long rivers that travel west and form estuaries are the Narmada, Periyar, and Tapti. A partially contained coastal body of water known as an estuary has a free connection to the open sea and one or more rivers or streams flowing into it. The estuary is only formed by West-following Indian rivers. Because of the Deccan plateau's eastward slope, which elevates it above that of the eastern coast, west-flowing rivers form estuaries rather than deltas. As a result, the ground needed to create Delta is not present.
