Detailed Solution

The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP)stands for the interests and welfare of the Dalits and oppressed people, the marginalised sections, which include the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and the other backward classes, Adivasis, and religious minorities. The BSP was founded in 1984 with Kanshi Ram as its founder and most prominent leader. The party is inspired by the thoughts of Sahu Maharaj, B.R. Ambedkar, Periyar Ramasamy Naicker, etc. The current leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party is Mayawati, a disciple of Kanshi Ram. The BSP is also one of the eight national parties of India.
