Detailed Solution

The problems faced by tribals during colonial rule were denial of forest rights, the annexation of forest lands, entry of outsiders etc. Numerous tribal communities in India rose in revolt against the British for their brutal and destructive incursions into their way of life and territory. Before the coming of the colonial powers, the tribal people had been living quietly and in harmony with nature for hundreds of years in their forests. Outsiders arrived at the same time as the British. The colonial authority introduced the zamindars, traders, and non-tribal moneylenders to the forest lands, who exploited the tribal communities and robbed them of their freedom and dignity.
