$\mathit{CuS}{O}_4$ is formed when the copper oxide is added to the sulphuric acid.
When we add the copper oxide to the sulphuric acid the $\mathit{CuS}{O}_4$ is formed with water as the by-product. This reaction is a type of double displacement reaction or neutralization reaction. The colour of the copper oxide is black, and it is solid in nature.
