Detailed Solution

The Hindus divide society into four main classes based on caste: Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and the Shudras. Many believe that the teams originated from Brahma, the Hindu God of creation. The Brahmans were the highest within the hierarchy, and therefore the Shudras were the lowest of all. The main castes were divided into approximately three thousand castes and twenty-five thousand sub-castes, each supporting their specific occupation. Outside of this Hindu class structure were the achhoots—the Dalits or the untouchables. The class structure is deeply unmoving within the Hindu belief in destiny and reincarnation. The class structure divides Hindus into four main classes—Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras—according to who they were in their past life, their destiny, and from which kinfolk they descended.
