Indus river originates from Tibet. The river Indus makes an appearance in the Tibet region near the Mansarovar lake, it enters India through Ladakh in the Jammu and Kashmir district, it is believed that during this journey it forms a scenic gorge in these areas, it has various tributaries like Zaskar, Hunza and Nubra which joins it in India. Indus is believed to be one of the longest rivers in the world with a gentle slope, the Indus basin is situated in many districts of India including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh, also some of its parts lie in Pakistan as well.
