Metamorphic rocks are associated with veins and lodes. Minerals may be found in cracks, faults or joints. The smaller ones are called the veins, and the larger occurrences are called lodes. It is mainly formed when minerals in liquid/molten gaseous states are forced upwards through holes towards the earth's surface. When they rise, it cools, which results in solidifying of these rocks. Minerals like tin, copper, zinc, lead etc., are extracted from veins and lodes.
