Guiseppe Mazzini founded two secret societies named Young Italy in Marseilles and Young Europe in Berne. He played a very important role in the unification of Italy. Initially, Italy was divided into seven parts and it was very vulnerable to foreign powers and outside rules. To make its sovereignty strong, Guiseppe Mazzini started to take actions that would work in favour of the unification of Italy. So he founded these two societies. He was a journalist and so he edited some journals and newspapers, by which he promoted and propagated his ideas of a unified Italy. Finally his ambitions did succeed and Italy was unified later.
