Nylon threads are used for making fishing nets and climbing ropes due to their high strength and elasticity and spandex is used in clothes that require snug fitting due to its excellent elasticity.
This is because nylon fibre is extremely durable and elastic, it is used to make ropes for rock climbing and parachutes and is considered to be stronger than steel wires.
