Bark is the region of plant axis present outside the vascular cambium and mainly includes the secondary phloem, pericycle, primary cortex and periderm. Tissues present outside the cork cambium is together called as outer bark. The tissue interior to cork cambium and  exterior to vascular cambium is called as inner bark.
