The large cloth market in Erode in Tamil Nadu is organised twice a week. Many types of cloth are sold in this market. Clothing made by weavers in the area is also brought here to be sold. The market is filled with shops owned by cloth merchants who buy this fabric. Other dealers from various south Indian areas purchase cloth in this market too. Additionally, weavers deliver fabrics expressly made for a merchant, who then sends them to businesses that export clothes.
