Tamil Nadu has tropical evergreen forests. India has a large geographical area with a variety of landforms such as mountains, plateaus, volcanoes, and plains which gives suitable conditions for the development of different vegetation. Out of 5 types of forests in India, there are tropical evergreen forests that receive heavy rainfall of 200cm and above. Since the western ghats receive the most rainfall it mostly has evergreen cover forests in states such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka.
