Detailed Solution

The subjects are split into three significant lists, such as the Union, State, and concurrent lists, in the seventh schedule of the Indian constitution. List 1—which includes 100 subjects—is another name for it. Only the Indian government may pass legislation on the matters of national interest that are on the Union list. The Union List does not contain "Police." It appears on the State List. The State List, also known as List-II, is a list in Schedule Seven of the Indian Constitution that consists of 61 articles (originally there were 66). It states that Police (including railroad and village police) are subject to the rules of Entry 2-A of List-I in its second item.
