Detailed Solution

The Constantinople Treaty of 1832 recognised Greece as an independent nation. The Treaty of Constantinople was the result of the Constantinople Conference, which started in February 1832. It was commenced by the Great Powers (Britain, France, and Russia) on one side and the Ottoman Empire on the other. In this treaty, Greece was declared an independent kingdom. It ended the Russo-Turkish War. Russian tsar Peter the Great secured possession of the Azov region and liberalised his forces to take part in the Great Northern War.
