Detailed Solution

Italy was not a part of Napoleon’s defeat.
Napoleon Bonaparte’s defeat brought an end to the French Revolution and led to the rise of conservatism. But the French Revolution's call for Nationalism was still upheld in many parts of Europe. By the end of 1799, Napoleon had captured half of Italy. Most importantly it was in the Battle of Waterloo that Napoleon had to succumb to defeat. The four major powers who had been plotting and planning together to defeat Napoleon were Austria, Prussia, Russia, and Great Britain. These four powers had also signed a treaty among themselves in 1814 and promised to ally against Napoleon. The treaty signed by them was known as the Treaty of Chaumont.
