The T-Model Ford was the world's first mass-produced car.
Mass production was a key feature of the 1920s US economy. The transition to mass production began in the late nineteenth century. Henry Ford, a well-known pioneer of mass production, was a car manufacturer. He adopted an assembly line from a Chicago slaughterhouse, where butchers dissected carcasses as they descended a conveyor belt, to his new auto facility in Detroit. As a result, Henry Ford's cars were produced at three-minute intervals, which was much faster than previous methods.
