To separate the components of different densities, the method used is known as winnowing. In this process, heavier and lighter components of a mixture are separated by the help of wind or blowing air. Since potato wafers are lighter than biscuits, they can easily be removed by air blow. Similarly, rice flakes are also removed from corn.
