The Kaveri river's rich valley served as the Chola's birthplace. Lastly, one of the first Tamil dynasties was the Chera dynasty. They ruled over the southern Indian districts of Salem, Karur, Coimbatore, and the Malabar Coast. Their capital city was Vanji.
