Detailed Solution

The melting of wax is a reversible change.
The changes can either be reversed or cannot be reversed. The wax melts on heating but once it cools down, it becomes solid again. So, melting of wax is a reversible change. Reversible changes are those in which we obtain the original substance. To prove that melting of wax is a reversible change, we can take some wax in a small pan and allow it to melt by heating over the burner. The wax (solid) melts to form molten wax (liquid). Upon cooling, this molten wax becomes solid again and this proves that melting of wax is a reversible change.
