Whenever a political party is formed, it has an ideology, and it should have the goals and objectives that they want to achieve when they come to power. It is necessary as only then people can distinguish one party from another, and therefore, they would be able to choose by selecting their preferred candidates. For instance, the Bharatiya Janata Party was formed in 1980. The party focuses on cultural nationalism, which they even refer to as Hindutva. The BJP talks about building a modern India, which will draw its inspiration from an ancient culture. The party has aims and objectives to achieve. Some of them are- the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, a ban on conversion etc. The BJP is one of the seven National Parties in India.
