Italy was not a part of the Allied Powers.
During the World War, there were two groups formed, the Axis Powers and the Allied Powers. The Axis Powers mainly included Germany, Italy and Japan. While the other group, the Allied powers, included the United Kingdom, France, and later the United States of America, and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics or the USSR also joined. Hence, Italy was not a part of the Allied Power but rather a part of the rival group of Axis Powers. The Axis Powers lost the Second World War and had to face severe consequences.
