Detailed Solution

Act of 1935  constituted Provincial Autonomy in India.
The Indian Council Acts were significant for the increased participation of Indians in the governance of British India. The Act of 1909 helped increase the limited involvement of Indians at the provincial levels. It introduced religious electorates. It had intended to cut across the nationalism that had developed in British India. The Act is also known as Morley-Minto Reforms. The Act of 1919 was essential for introducing dyarchy in British India. Also known as the Montagu-Chelmsford reforms, the Act introduced the ideals of a federal system into India. The Act of 1935 was remarkable for bringing provincial autonomy. The provinces were freed from diarchy.
