Narrow land is not a feature of the eastern coast. The Eastern coastal plain is divided into two parts the southern part is called the Coromandel coast and the northern part is called Northern Circar, they are fertile, broad, and have a level surface also they form deltas. The western coastal plains are narrower and are divided into 3 stretches, the southern part is the Malabar Coast, the central part of the western coast is Kannad, and the northern part is called Konkan, comparatively, they are infertile, narrow, and do not form any deltas like the Eastern coastal plains, they are situated between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats.
