Indian National Lok Dal is a political party in the state of Haryana. Choudhary Devi Lal founded it in October 1996 as Haryana Lok Dal. He served twice as Deputy Prime Minister of India in V.P. Singh's Cabinet and Chief Minister of Haryana. INLD has performed poorly in all four consecutive general elections since 1998. It lost consecutive assembly elections for Haryana in 2005, 2009, and 2013. In the elections of Lok Sabha in 1999, the INLD had an electoral alliance with BJP in Haryana. Its power base is the traditional Jat (peasant caste) heartland in central and west-central Haryana.
